If spot detection is used for segmenting the nuclei but the Grow function is not used, the detection of the cell border may be problematic.
Some inner nuclei/cell border areas may occur (red arrows).
Proper cell detection should start by detecting the precise border of the nuclei (e.g. by using Bright Spots (3D Segmentation > Spot detection > Bright Spots) with the Grow function checked.
Then another grow (Binary processing > Region growing > Grow Regions) is applied using a channel carrying the cell border information.
