Two main layouts are present in NIS-Elements by default. These layouts are represented by tabs in the top left corner. Click on the selected layout tab to activate it.

Graphical elements displayed in the Compact layout offer a method of information and communication technology (ICT) and accessibility for those without perception of color that are detailed in the Section 508 Accessibility Guidelines. Other graphical elements, dialog windows and control panels available through advanced functions of the NIS-Elements may contain parts where color is the only distinctive feature.
Note
To display only the compact layout after NIS-Elements startup, set the “bEnableCompactLayoutOnly” value in the SetupOptions.xml file in the NIS-Elements installation folder to “true”.
