Displays the NIS-Elements electronic help file.

Help > Search

Searches in the Help for information related to topics which you want to be informed about. To use the Search... command, type the topic or select it from the list in the Search dialog box, and then choose the List Topics button to see the related topics. To display a particular topic from the list of topics, double click the topic name.

Help > Show Help Folder

Opens the Docs folder containing all help files.

Help > Hotkeys

Opens the Hotkeys dialog window showing a table with keyboard shortcuts, associated macro commands and menu classification.

Help > Help On Cursor

Displays the Help cursor, which allows you to get Help about any item in the NIS-Elements window. The Help is displayed when you invoke the corresponding item in NIS-Elements. For instance, by clicking the Image - Open menu item you get help about the Open command. Using shortcut key F1 provide you the equivalent command help.

Help > HASP Info

This command runs an external application that detects your HASP hardlock configuration. A dialog box with the information appears. It is possible to save it to a file or send to Laboratory Imaging. This can be very handy in case some troubles with your HASP key occurs. Having the information, we can effectively help you.

Help > Check Version Update

This command connects to a web page maintained by the manufacturer and displays updates which are currently available for your hardware key (licence ID). Licence ID used with NIS-Elements is supplied automatically, or you can check updates for other licence numbers as well.

Help > Enable Logging

Important application events can be logged into a text file. Such information can be useful when solving out any non-standard application behavior. If ON, the log file is created and saved as:

"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Laboratory Imaging\Platform\Logfiles\lxapp_YYYY_MM_DD.log"
Help > Log Per Session

This command creates a log file per session.

Help > Open Log File

This command will open the current log file in the default text editor.

Help > Open Log Folder

This command opens the folder where log files are being stored by the Explorer application.

Help > Clear Log File

This command closes the current LOG file and creates a new empty one.

Help > Save System Info

This command sends a detailed application info to manufacturer email address automatically. It requires an active Internet connection and an email client software to be installed.

Help > About

Displays the version of the software and the Laboratory Imaging copyright.
