Dropping the Piezo Z Stack into the sequence table opens the Z Stack definition window.

Define the Range, Step size or number of steps and the length over which the Z stack is performed (Step Length). Choose the Z direction (Bidirectional acquisition moves the stage in both directions from the sample) and click OK. Check the Oscilloscope View to see how the Z Stack will look like. To create an ND2 file containing separate t and Z dimensions, check Create Z Stack Document in the Illumination Sequence main window. In order to create a valid Z Stack document, the number of frames has to be a multiple of the number of Z steps.
